Small-Scale Wind Turbine [Grid-Tied] Installation Course

Installing small-scale wind turbines that your customers can claim grant funding for through the Low Carbon Building Programme and 'Feed-in' Tariffs requires you to work to a high standard and to be registered onto an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) register.
These are big financial incentives that can halve your customer’s payback period and provide long term income for the owner. Along with your electrical experience and qualifications you must have technology specific training to become accredited on an MCS register.
Course Objective
This course will take an electrically competent individual a long way in 3 days. You will not only understand these systems but, like all of our courses, you get hands on with different types of turbines and leave here confident and competent to install grid-tied small wind turbines (up to 16A per phase) to MCS standards. Your next step after the course: get registered.

Entry Requirements: Electrical experience at least to Domestic Installer (Part P) standard. Other academic qualifications may be accepted, but please note this is an installation training course not an academic theory course. Those without any qualifications, but suitable experience may be eligible.
Noted exclusion from training & assessment: This course is not intended to cover roof or access work in detail but does cover the legislative requirements, risk assessment requirements and working at height requirement. Large stand-alone turbine groundworks are not covered and we would recommend seeking the services of a civil engineer contractor.
